Ashley met some friends at the recent Gary Numan album signing in London and in conversation with some fellow "Numanoids" found a high level of interest in Dr Who and also Devious. Apparently one of the chaps he spoke to has his own studio and composes his own music and hopefully we'll be talking to him about some instrumental work for Devious. Although Ashley and David want to write and perform their own material they also recognise they have never done that before and consequently are likely to be completely talentless!

Well, we'd like to!
We've some modelwork to complete and film and if the weather is good and we feel like reshooting one particular scene then we will attempt to get 8 daleks to some countryside somewhere to film another ambush. However that does seem unlikely seeing as we have more than enough work to do on the existing footage! And anyway - after the modelwork we've FINISHED!!!
Ok so you've guessed how we did the TARDIS walk-around shot. Well almost. So fartwo people from all our entriesare nearly there with their suggestions, and so we'll let you all know how we did it soon! Just time to email us and tell us how you thought we did it. Just a bit of lateral or common sense thought really!
Well we had a bit of a play around and managed to get a couple of clips to put up on the site. Doubtless more can follow if there's any interest - so if you fancy a peek then please navigate your way to our 'Clips and Images' section where we will post bits and pieces from time to time; either of work-in-progress or finished sequences. David has now completed a first draft edit of episode 6 and this has prompted us to put up these clips just for fun.
Word gets to us that the sister production to Devious - 'Blake's Legend' has now been edited. Work on the effects is now ongoing. More news as and when! Like Devious, Blake's Legend has been in production for aeons - another production which depended on people's very rare spare time. If anyone wants to know more then contact us on our 'email us' page and we'll pass your comments on...
Just a quick note to congratulate Rowlie Darby and Doctor Who Monthly for an excellent piece in this month's issue. A wonderful feature praising the scheme initially set up at Patcham High School near Brighton to encourage science-fiction reading by their English teacher Mr Darby. We managed to help out: in conversation with Rowlie, Ashley from the team arranged for a Devious dalek to go on loan to the school for the library and one was duly dispatched a year or two ago - and is still there!
(Ashley) went to the Dr Who exhibition on Brighton Pier yesterday - should have done some time ago as it's only 8 miles from his house - and if you're thinking of going then the advice is to go. Enjoy it - a time when the BBC is actively promoting Dr Who again with all its might. Great to see props and costumes from this new series - as a prop and set builder for Devious it was good to see and make comparisons - and to take heart and encouragement to see we're on the right lines!!!
Just a quick word to say "hope you like the new design". Well if you don't it's not going back to the old look. The menu at the top of the screen has some positioning issues at present and the fonts aren't quite as we want, but Ashley is working on this.
we're on the move! - both the TARDIS and this site are moving in the next few days! One has gone by road and the other via the medium of the web to a new server. The Tardis' local journey has been successful whereas the site move will doubtless get caught in the vortexand never be seen again - so here's just a quick note to warn you thatthe site may be down for a short while during this process!
